It’s amazing, a leaked draft to overturn Roe v. Wade was shared with the public.
And we’re supposed to believe that the US is the land of the free & opportunities? — If you’re familiar with my work, we both know that’s not exactly true.
The highest judiciary of the country is poised to reverse what affords some bodily autonomy to millions. Note, it gives a number of choices/freedoms to people but not everything they need, in case you’ve been living under a rock.
So, I’m reminded that these judiciaries, whom barely reflect the nation’s populace had/have the power to ruin people’s livelihoods.
Oh right, Judge Thomas…well, he’s very much a case of “not all skinfolk are kinfolk”.
To be clear, this is an attack on the rights of birthing people and people with uteruses’ quality of life and health. Health remains an ever present mine field within the US. It becomes further perilous the further someone is from being white and cis.
As a cishet man I understand that my expression of how concerning this is can only go so far. Still, this is very serious and that can’t be said enough. The most at risk people should be the ones we’re listening to. Especially Black women, I can’t emphasize that enough.
